Academic: Grade 12th with minimum 70% is required

English: The State Foundation (Public Studienkolleg) program is a pathway designed for students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree at a German public university. The course includes 32 weeks of German language training, along with 3 weeks of exam preparation and 3 weeks of math preparation. After this, students complete two semesters at a public Studienkolleg, which prepares them for university entry. The total duration typically includes 1 year of intensive German language training (A1–C1 + entrance exam preparation), followed by 1 year at Studienkolleg, and then 3 years to complete the bachelor’s degree. The application fee is €597, and the pathway program costs between €8,500 and €12,000. The Studienkolleg itself is free of tuition fees, but students need to pay for health insurance, which is approximately €600.
