Entry requirements

Academic: Normally, a UK Bachelors honours degree, or its international equivalent, in the subject you are applying to, or a related subject that gives appropriate grounding for postgraduate study. The MDes programmes in Design Innovation welcome applicants from non-design disciplines, but you should demonstrate knowledge of the subject and its contemporary practice. If you do not meet the academic entry requirements, we may still consider your application on the basis of your portfolio and / or relevant professional experience.

English: IMPORTANT: Two formats are accepted for the uploading of a digital folio: either - A single PDF file consisting of approximately 15 pages (folios exceeding this length may not be fully read), OR 15 individual images. • A minimum of three projects is required to be included in the digital folio. If moving image or sound work is submitted, it should be provided via a hyperlink embedded within the PDF document, directing to Vimeo or YouTube. - Access to these platforms must not be password protected. Alternatively, links may be submitted by inputting a URL into the designated field. It must be ensured that all links remain live and accessible at the time of review. Clips must be limited to a maximum duration of five minutes.
